Lei now wears a mixture between both his Tekken 2 and Tekken 3 primary outfits and the design of his changshan is based on his primary outfit in Tekken 3 and the color scheme of his outfit was in his Tekken 2 primary outfit. This outfit is also seen in the console opening of the game. He also gains blue fingerless gloves, a police badge and handcuffs in each side of his pants. His pants are now dark brown and his shoes are now brown. The button shirt that he wears is replaced with a white short sleeve v-neck shirt with two black buttons, his black suspenders is replaced with a shoulder holster.

He wears an updated version of his Player 2 outfit in Tekken 2. In his in-game appearance, his green changshan does not have the black designs and the length of his changshan has cut into short length and is now below his thighs, his black belt becomes thicker, and his Chinese pants are now red instead of magenta and the golden designs are now white instead of gold. This outfit is also seen from his ending while practicing his 5 form styles of Kung-Fu. The interior of his changshan is white with a golden dragon design underneath, magenta Chinese pants with golden round designs and black shoes with gold soles and white socks. The front of his changshan was lengthen below the knee and long at the back. A black belt which is tucked into his changshan. His changshan is now green with black rounded designs and white outlines. Lei's hair becomes longer with long fringes in each side of his head and two of his default outfits has been updated with a few changes. In the console opening and his ending, he wears yellow goggles to protect his eyes and white and blue earphones to protect his ears while practicing shooting guns during target practice. In his in-game appearance, his handgun was hanging loose at the center of his primary outfit.

His medium length hair has been cut into short hair. Lei is now seen wearing a white long sleeved button shirt with an extended collar with black suspenders in each sides, beige colored pants and black shoes. In Tekken: The Motion Picture, he wears this outfit but with white linings on the button side of his changshan as his long hair was dark blue instead of black. His hair is shown to be tied in a low ponytail. Lei wears a blue long sleeved changshan with white folded sleeves and a long black belt which is tucked into his changshan, black Chinese pants, and black Chinese shoes and white socks. Lei debuts in the second installment of the game and wears two of his default outfits.
